<p>There’s something special about the feeling you get when you help someone else. It’s grounding, humbling, and deeply fulfilling. Over the years, I’ve learned that giving back doesn’t always have to be a grand gesture. In fact, some of the most meaningful acts of kindness come from simple, everyday efforts.</p>



<p>As a mother, I’ve always tried to teach my children that kindness matters just as much as success. Life moves fast, and it’s easy to get caught up in schedules, work, and responsibilities, but when we make time to give back, we reconnect with what really matters—our shared humanity.</p>



<p>For me, giving back while moving forward means finding ways to help others as we live our everyday lives. It’s about blending purpose with daily routines and making generosity a part of who we are as a family.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Heart of Service</strong></h2>



<p>My family and I have been fortunate to live in some beautiful places. From summers in Park City, Utah, to holidays in Montana, we’ve seen the incredible diversity and kindness that make communities thrive. But no matter where we are, one thing always holds true: communities are built by people who care.</p>



<p>When I deliver meals for Meals on Wheels, I’m reminded of that every single time. The people I meet have stories, wisdom, and gratitude that touch me deeply. It’s not just about handing someone a meal—it’s about sharing a smile, a few words, and a moment of connection. Those moments remind me that compassion is the foundation of every strong community.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Teaching Kids the Value of Kindness</strong></h2>



<p>As a mother of three, I believe one of the greatest gifts I can give my children is the understanding that they have the power to make a difference. My daughter Inga is an actress, and Anna is exploring both singing and acting. They are both creative, passionate, and full of heart. I often tell them that using their talents to bring joy to others is one of the most beautiful forms of giving.</p>



<p>We talk a lot about empathy and gratitude in our home. It can be as simple as encouraging them to notice someone who might need a little extra kindness at school or reminding them to appreciate the people who make our lives easier—the teachers, coaches, neighbors, and volunteers who give their time freely.</p>



<p>Family volunteering days are some of our favorite memories. Whether it’s organizing food donations, helping at local events, or writing cards for seniors, these shared experiences bring us closer together. The lessons learned in those moments stay with children for life.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Making Giving Part of Everyday Life</strong></h2>



<p>Giving back doesn’t always require a big budget or a lot of time. Sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness can have the greatest impact. When we travel, we make an effort to support local businesses and artisans. When we’re home, we donate clothes, toys, and household items to families in need.</p>



<p>I also believe in the power of simply being there for others. Sometimes people don’t need money or material things—they just need someone to listen. A friendly conversation, a thoughtful message, or even a smile can completely change someone’s day.</p>



<p>Even in our busy world, there are small opportunities every day to give back. Picking up litter on a walk, planting flowers in a community space, or helping a neighbor with errands may seem minor, but these little gestures add up. When more people take part, communities become stronger, kinder, and more connected.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>The Ripple Effect of Compassion</strong></h2>



<p>One of the most beautiful things about kindness is that it spreads. When someone experiences compassion, they often feel inspired to pass it on. That’s the ripple effect I hope to create in my own family.</p>



<p>When my kids see me volunteering or helping others, they understand that giving isn’t an obligation—it’s a joy. It doesn’t take away from our lives; it adds to them. It fills our days with meaning and reminds us that we are all part of something bigger than ourselves.</p>



<p>We often think of giving back as something to do during the holidays, but it’s something that can be practiced year-round. Whether it’s baking cookies for a neighbor, sending thank-you notes to community helpers, or taking part in a charity walk, each act contributes to a culture of care.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>Finding Purpose in Progress</strong></h2>



<p>As I work on building my skincare line, I’ve been reflecting on how giving back fits into business, too. I believe that true success isn’t just about growth—it’s about using your platform to make a positive difference.</p>



<p>My goal is to build something that not only makes people feel confident and cared for but also supports causes that matter. I want my business to reflect the same values we live by at home: kindness, balance, and authenticity.</p>



<p>When we align our personal goals with our desire to help others, life feels more purposeful. Moving forward doesn’t mean leaving others behind—it means bringing them with us, lifting them up, and finding ways to create shared progress.</p>



<h2 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>A Family Legacy of Kindness</strong></h2>



<p>At the end of the day, what I hope my children remember most isn’t the places we’ve traveled or the things we’ve done—it’s the kindness we’ve shared along the way. Whether we’re in Montana, Park City, or back home, I want them to always feel connected to their communities and to see that every small act of love matters.</p>



<p>Giving back while moving forward is about balance. It’s about taking care of ourselves and our families while also reaching out to those around us. It’s about building a life that feels full not just because of what we have, but because of what we give.</p>



<p>When we choose to live that way, the world becomes a little brighter—for us, for our children, and for the people we meet along the way.</p>
